It brought together 41 established artists from 13 countries, who used their personal heritage to promote culture in the spirit of art and collaboration.  They represented Norway, Israel, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, France, Italy, U.S.A, Cyprus, Netherlands, Bulgaria and  Great Britain.

Curated by Zina Bercovici, the show  featured 81 art works – paintings, sculpture and collages - that demonstrated a rich mixture of forms, colours and styles.

The Spirit of Art Opening Night was sponsored by  The Fish Place – prestigious fresh fish and seafood restaurant from Battersea, South London.  Immaculate  service and delicious canapes by The Fish Place chef Gilles Casey were much appreciated by the audience at La Galleria Pall Mall.

Brilliant  Saxophone Jazz Interlude by Oleg Lapidus added sparkle to the reception night  as quite a few visitors and artists showed off their dance steps.

Spirit of Art project proved to be a success with London art lovers.  A variety of art works were sold during the exhibition week to the joy of its international participants.

Saturday 26 March saw the TUC “March for The Alternative” block central London streets for the entire day, which brought the Spirit of Art show down a day earlier than scheduled.

La Galleria Pall Mall Christmas show will launch the Salon Art Bizarre annual international contemporary art fair.

Paintings, sculptures, prints, photography, jewellery and installations by international contemporary artists will make exquisite and long-lasting gifts to families and friends.

Set in the heart of London inside the famous John Nash Royal Opera Arcade, Salon Art Bizarre will keep its doors open to the general public throughout the day (9am till 7:00pm) and will present a number of evening receptions, offering art auctions, live entertainment and raffles with special Art Bizarre Prize to enhance the festive spirit of Christmas.   The timing will also take advantage of the November “Russian Week” art boom at Sotheby’s, Christie’s, Bonhams and MacDougall’s.

Salon Art Bizarre is a new concept in modern art fair business.  As the name suggests it is an art fair with a difference.  It is more exclusive and audience orientated than its well known large scale counterparts.  This luxury event is open for participation to galleries and individual artists.

Salon Art Bizarre strives to represent artists whose distinctive work challenges the intellect.  It encourages innovation through the choice of brave, peculiar, quirky and original art forms, including media, techniques and concepts.
